A few days ago, I got a message from somebody on Facebook named Axel Roger telling me how much he enjoyed Smiles Of A Summer Night and asking if I’d be open to collaborating. Turns out, he’s a producer, too. It also turns out…that he may be better than me. No bullshit. I’ve spent the last few days with these songs on repeat. Drawing from a variety of inspirations, Axel’s bass-heavy, spaced-out sounds caught my ear immediately and I had to bring my discoveries here to share with you all. I put together this compilation of Axel’s early work, entitled Introducing. Be on the lookout for an official collaborative project between myself and Axel early next year.
